St Alban’s Church – 180th Anniversary (2026)

In 2026, St Alban’s Church will mark 180 years since it was built to serve the fast-growing Catholic community of the 1840s.
To celebrate this milestone, we are launching a special Anniversary Project. Our aim is to honour our rich and diverse history while protecting and enhancing the church for future generations.
Plans include:
Sharing our historical research
Restoring our Grade II listed church buildings and grounds
Improving accessibility
Opening up our historic site for more community use
A key part of this project is community involvement. We would love to hear your views, memories and ideas.
