As you will know, in the space of just one week at the end of June MPs voted to decriminalise abortion up to birth and to legalise assisted suicide. Sadly, we simply do not have enough people active in the range of prolife activities to contend successfully in the struggle for pro-life values. However, at SPUC WE ARE DETERMINED AS EVER TO DEFEAT ABORTION AND ASSISTED SUICIDE AND WE BELIEVE THAT WE CAN TO DO THIS BY MOBILISING ADEQUATE PRO-LIFE SUPPORT. We therefore urgently need to build the critical mass of people necessary to effect real and lasting protection for unborn children and those at the end of life. We are calling on all parishes across the country to join the fightback and raise awareness of our work at Mass. At St. Alban’s we will be doing this on the weekend of 9/10th of August. There are postcards at the back of the church which we would ask you to complete and return to the church so that they can be sent back together.
