Bulletin No.663 May 7th 2017

Today is Vocations Sunday: when we celebrate the call to the priesthood and the consecrated live.   We remember other callings at others times but it is right that on one Sunday  (Good Shepherd Sunday) we pray especially for those God is calling to be consecrated to be ordained as priests and deacons, “Pray the Lord of the harvest to send labourers into his harvest” (Mt 9:38; Lk 10:2).  Please pray that young men and women hear and respond generously to the Lord’s call to the priesthood, diaconate, religious life, societies of apostolic life or secular institutes.    There will be a second collection at all Masses today for vocations.
