Bulletin No.658 April 2nd 2017

Stations of the Cross:   There will be Stations of the Cross today at 4 p.m.   Why not make it part of your Lenten observance?

Gift Aid Envelopes: are at the back of the Church. Please pick up a box (pink) with your name on it.  Use the new envelopes from next weekend.

Can you help your Parish’s finances by signing a Gift Aid Form?  If you pay tax, this is a painless way of increasing your regular contributions by 25%.  This means that if you give £5 every week to Saint Alban’s then at the end of the year we can reclaim £65 from the Government – the amount of tax that you have paid on your contributions to the Church.  If you would like more information please speak to Father David.

Planned Giving for those not in the Gift Aid Scheme.   There are also boxes of envelopes (Yellow Boxes with no names) at the back of the Church.  To use collection envelopes is a useful way of helping you keep track of your weekly offering to our Parish, as we depend on the regular contributions of each other.  Please use the new envelopes from next weekend.

Flowers to decorate our Churches:    The donations for flowers over Christmas and Easter usually sustain us throughout the year.  Contributions at St Alban’s over Easter have been unusually few– can you help?   Donations can be given to Anne Bedford or Ann Brown.

Liturgical Assistants over Easter:  I would be grateful if you could indicate on the form at the back of the Church what services you are available for over the Easter Period so that a rota can be put together for next weekend.

Eucharistic Adoration:   An opportunity to spend an hour with the Lord!    Could you spare an hour a week?   We have a dedicated group which has kept this Monday adoration going for 13 years and has gained many answered prayers.   Due to sickness and other family commitments the number has dwindled.   If you could cover an hour or be on a list to cover in case of emergency, please contact A. Bedford or T. Hitchings.

Beetle Drive with light refreshments on Wednesday 26th of April in the Church Hall.  Tickets Adults £5;  Children: £3 – Family Tickets £10.   Tickets on sale this weekend.

Welsh National Lourdes Pilgrimage:  23rd to 28th July 2017.   There are posters at the back of the Church with more information if you would like to join this pilgrimage.

Before Mass talk to God.   During Mass let God talk to you.   After Mass talk to each other.’
