Holy Doors in the Year of MercyDuring Jubilee Years, such as the Year of Mercy, doors designated by the Holy Father and the bishops throughout the world are opened as ‘Holy Doors’ through which we make pilgrimage as a sign of transition from a life of sin to a new life of grace in Christ.  Jesus himself said ‘I am the door; If anyone enters through me he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture’.  By walking through the Holy Door in this Year of Mercy, we physically demonstrate our need for God’s Mercy in our lives and our willingness to be transformed by His great gift of Mercy.  On Thursday 10th March you are invited to make a pilgrimage to the Door of Mercy in Belmont Abbey, and to join Archbishop George and the Belmont Community for the celebration of Mass at 7 p.m.  If you would like to avail of transport please sign up this weekend.

Alive – A Retreat for Young Adults 16 – 35:  at St. David’s Catholic Sixth From College, Ty Gwyn Road, Penylan Cardiff on 11th  – 13th of March. –– contact Youth 2000 office on 02072212124 or info@youth2000.org

Collection of food for the Eastern Valley Foodbank will take place this weekend in both St Alban’s and St Felix communities.  Your contributions go a long way in helping our local Foodbank to feed our neighbours in crisis.  Please remember to make sure all food is non-perishable, in date and undamaged..
