Bulletin No.593 December 27th 2015

Preparation for the Sacrament of Baptism:  the DVD resource that we use has been well received over the last few years, and creates a relaxed and informal gathering which aims to support parents in nurturing their child’s spiritual journey.  The next sessions will be in January.   If you are thinking about arranging your child’s baptism, or if your child is asking to be baptized, please e-mail Fr. David so that a time and venue can be arranged.

Crib Offerings this year will be for ‘Safe Families for Children’.   They now have a base in Cardiff, it offers respite care for vulnerable children not least in recruiting volunteer host families who would voluntarily open up their homes, without pay, to offer temporary shelter to children of families in crisis whilst their parents get back on their feet.  It’s not fostering and it’s not adoption – just simple kindness and yet it can make a world of difference.   As well as needing finance, ‘Safe Families for Children’ would also welcome volunteers for this crucial and important work.  Donations can be put in the ‘Angel Box’ in front of the Crib.

Eucharistic Adoration:    We are looking for 2 people to fill in for long term sick for the hour 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Mondays.   If you can help please contact: A. Bedford   755193 or T. Hitchings 756598.
